I can't get into Catalyst.

Do you have a working CAlNET ID?

CalNet IDs are currently the user's campus ID number, e.g., student or employee. Others who are granted access will be assigned a unique ID number. If you are not sure if your CalNET ID is working go to https://calnet.berkeley.edu/ the fourth link from the top on you left is called Try CalNet this will help you identify whether or not your ID number or password and valid.

I have a valid Calnet ID but I still can't see my courses in Catalyst.

Catalyst has been used as the primary learning management system at Haas since Fall 2002. If you are not seeing the courses you are enrolled in, you may be looking in the wrong semester. Click on the Courses button at the left of the screen. Then select the semester you want to view from the pull-down menu.

http://bearlink.berkeley.edu/ is a useful starting place for students trying to determine their enrollment status. This page includes a link to Summer enrollments as well at http://www-telebears.berkeley.edu:3400/summer/

When I try to log in, I get a 302 error message.

Status: 302 Location: http://catalyst.haas.berkeley.edu/html/login/accountrequest.htm Content-type: text/html
Can't find record for [your Berkeley Employee or Studetn ID Number] Catalyst is integrated with other systems running at Haas and at the Berkeley campus:

  • For faculty this error message implies that Academic Affairs hasn't marked your teaching status as 'active'. Please contact Academic Affairs to resolve your status.
  • For students this error may imply issues with your enrollment status or perhaps just be a lag in the system.

I can verify my enrollment on BEARFACTS but I still don't see it in Catalyst.

If your enrollment was submitted and confirmed in Bearfacts before 5:00 PM on a regular business day. You should see your enrollment in Catalyst by the following morning, based on a successful data pulled form SIS into our system over night, or the next business day. If however, you signed up after 5:00 PM - your name would not appear until the following day since they didn't make the 5pm cut off. example:

If a student adds a class at 3:55 PM Monday, May 3, there enrollment will appear in Catalyst by 8:00 AM, Tuesday, May 4.

If a student add a class at 5:05 PM Friday, May 7, there enrollment in Catalyst would not appear until 8:00 AM Tuesday, May 11. Enrollments added after the download cut off are put into the queue for the next business day, which in this case would be Mondays data pull, so it would be downloaded with mondays batch and appear in catalyst tuesday morning.
