How Do I Access My Electronic Course Reader and Online Materials Using Study.Net?

MBA’s receive Online course material from Study.Net at NO CHARGE! Printed copies of Study.Net “TEXTPAK’s” can be purchased Online and shipped directly to you for a FEE.

1.       Computer requirements: You must ensure that the computer you are using is equipped with Adobe Acrobat Reader version 6.0.1, An OS of Windows 2000 or XP. more

2.       Login to Catalyst: http://catalyst.haas.berkeley.edu.  Haas MBA students access their Study.Net course materials through the Catalyst Learning Management system. Catalyst requires students to login with their Cal-Net ID and Passphrase.  Your Cal-Net ID is the 9 digit numeric Student ID you were issued when you enrolled at UC Berkeley. more

3.       Open Study.Net. Once you have successfully logged into Catalyst you should see a list of your courses events for the current semester as well as a list of blue buttons on the left hand side of your browser window. Click the “Study.Net” button. You will be auto logged into Study.Net and will not need to re-enter your CalNet ID or passphrase. more

4.       Study.Net My Courses: Once loaded you should now see "My Courses" displayed on they Study.Net web site.  Under My Courses you will see all of the Haas courses YOU are currently enrolled in and which are displayed in your Catalyst account. more

5.       View Courses: To view the on-line course materials associated with a particular course: Choose a course listed in the "My Courses" dialog box” by clicking it. Then click the “View Course” button. more

6.       Course Descriptions: The course description page will show you the course name, ID, instructor, and the course dates. You may also see a syllabus. You will also see a new menu of options on the left hand side of the page under MY COURSES (i.e. Materials). more

7.       View Course Materials: Under the "My Courses" button on the left side of the page click on the “MATERIALS” link. You will see a table of all course materials available and well as the course and section number at the top of the page. Course material is available in 2 ways, on-line and in printed TEXTPAK’s.  You must PAY to have a TEXTPAK printed and shipped to you.  On-line pdf ebooks or other formats is free to all MBA students and will allow you to PRINT YOUR OWN COPY FOR FREE!

8.       View Online Course Materials (PDF ebooks): Most course material will be available via pdf ebooks.  You must have Adobe Acrobat 6.0.1 in order to view these! Choose the pdf ebook you wish to open, click on it. Adobe DRM Activator will open, click yes if prompted. Adobe Acrobat Reader should launch and your ebook will load.  Once your ebook is open you can read it online or print it.

9.       Order Printed TEXTPAK’s: For a charge you can order a printed version of your course materials.  These are known as TEXTPAK’s. From the course materials page select the link “Click here to purchase a printed TEXTPAK.”

10.   Confirming TEXTPAK Orders: You will see the cost of your TEXTPAk on the page titled “Additional Purchase Options”.Check the box “order complete printed TEXTPAK.” Click the “Continue” button.  You will need to enter your Shipping and Billing information.  Once completed you will get an order confirmation and your TEXTPAK will be assembled and shipped to your shipping address.
