Catalyst allows students and instructors to interact with a chat-style forum.

1. Select a course from the Forums drop-down list.
2. In the Forum screen, you can filter your view, search for specific keywords, or just browse through the postings.
3. You can add a new posting by clicking the icon.
4. You can categorize your post by using the drop-down list.
5. Fill in the subject and body with text.
6. If you wish, you can attach files to your posting by clicking on the Add/Del Files button.
7. When you are done, click the Post Message button.
